WHERE DO I WANT THE SUN??
1. To use this chart cut out the centre circle.
2. Place the chart on a map with the (landmark, valley, hill, etc) you wish to photograph in the centre of the cutout.
3. With NORTH of your map and the chart NORTH aligned. You can now see what direction the sun is coming from at any time of the year. This allows you to decide when in the year it may be best to return for the lighting to be as you require.
Unfortunately this does not give the height of the sun but it does give you direction
