A potted history
The Vale Photographic Club started originally as the Cowbridge Photographic Workshop but disbanded in the early
nineties due to a dwindling membership
Six photographers saw a future in the formation of a new club and
'The Vale' was regenerated in 1996, in the village of Ystradowen,
in the photogenic Vale of Glamorgan.
This happy and sociable club now has an ever-increasing membership of 40. The club holds annual 'battles' with other clubs, regular exhibitions throughout the Vale and, in 2004, even hosted the prestigious Welsh photographic Federation Salon at St Donats Arts Centre.
