I can do Swan Lake
On the lookout for bird pictures at Cosmeston Lakes. Almost all of my photography is an attempt to celebrate the world around us in landscape, wildlife, or Macro. This bird ( I believe it is a juvenile Black Headed Gull one of the most Tern-like of the Gulls) was sitting on a fence beside the lake going through a series of stretching exercises. I moved up beside it very slowly but it was quite unperturbed by my presence. I did not set up the situation as such, but I was very slow and quiet in my approach to it. What it did for my photography was firstly, that the monthly challenge got me out there to begin with. Secondly, it taught me to watch carefully for opportunities, to be very patient, and to be slow and deliberate in executing my picture taking. It was very satisfying indeed.
