I came across this website whilst looking for a replacement petal type lens hood. I downloaded the .pdf pattern for the lens in question and made one out of stiff card. I sprayed it black and attached it using a rubber band as instructed. It cost pennies and took about 15 mins to make. See attached photo. There are patterns for most lenses currently available.
