Please do not use cellotape, masking tape, parcel tape or anything other than acid-free tape designed for the purpose on the backs of the mounts - it can ruin someone else's print. 3. DPIs should be resized to 1920 x 1080 pixels. 4. File names should be constructed to the formula: Title-category-membership No. e.g. Lady in the bath-flora-66.jpg Les Grandes Bainees-open-66.jpg 5. Images must not have been entered in any of the 'monthly' competitions previously.
If you struggle to produce enough images to enter all 6 of our monthly internal competitions don’t worry. Apparently even Ansel Adams would find it difficult. He is reputedly responsible for this quote:
“Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.”
If one of the most influential American photographers of all time was happy with twelve good images in an entire year, then we should be satisfied with our best 18. We tend to learn more from our ‘mistakes’ than our successes so, enter your best work, listen, with an open mind, to the judge's critique and don’t worry so much about its ‘score’.
By submitting images to competitions, our website or facebook pages you give us the right to use those images to promote the activities of the club.
